The Top Museums and Attractions to Visit in Tulsa

Have you just got done moving to Tulsa? Is your insight of the city somewhat inadequate? Well, you’re in luck! Tulsa, OK has a whole host of museums and other destinations where you can learn all about our history, culture, and a whole bunch of other awesome things that make our city a fantastic place to live. Here at A-1 Freeman Moving Group, we’ve been helping people move to and around Tulsa for quite a while now, and this has helped us become immensely familiar with some of the coolest and most entertaining exhibits.

After you get yourself acquainted with your new surroundings, you should definitely take some time to check out the following museums and exhibits:

  • Tulsa Air and Space Museum – For a couple of hours, you can learn about a lot of aeronautical things here at the Tulsa Air and Space Museum. With an F-14 front and center and a whole host of other things, your kids can have a look around and let their imaginations reach the sky itself.
  • Discovery Lab – Tulsa Children’s Museum – The perfect place to lose an afternoon, the Tulsa Children’s Museum will keep your little ones engaged for hours. Not only will they be having a blast, they’ll also be learning about how the world works with plenty of exhibits dedicated to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). There’s nothing quite like turning learning into a fun day out on the town.
  • Tulsa Art Deco Museum – For a taste of what Tulsa used to look like and the art it inspired, you need to check out the Tulsa Art Deco Museum. You can get an up close look at the remains of the Tulsa Club Building and the old Halliburton-Abbot department store here, as well as check out a variety of other deco exhibits. Each month, they usually bring in a travelling deco exhibit to bring additional things to check out throughout the year.

After taking a few hours touring these places, you’ll have a much better affection for Tulsa. You’ll be a lot more acclimated to the city, and you’ll have a better connection to the rich history that has created our wonderful home.
